DPMS PANTHER ARMS PREPARED FOR OUTBREAK: OMEGA V
St Cloud, MN – DPMS Firearms, (DPMS), an industry leader in providing quality AR-style rifles, components and accessories, is proud to welcome the nation’s best zombie hunters to Outbreak: Omega V on June 23. The event, now in its fifth year, is the original, largest, and most well-attended recreational “zombie shoot” in the world.
Among the event highlights:
- 24 shooting stages that include pistol, shotgun and rifle
- Sponsored stages that allow shooters to “test drive” new firearms
- Active targets add an element of surprise to test participants’ skills
- Prizes and giveaways worth more than $95,000
The event is being held at Ahlman’s in Morristown, Minnesota. The event site boasts more than 100 acres of immersive shooting environments with specially designed stages to challenge both novice and practiced shooters.
“The fifth year is a milestone for us,” said Adam Ballard, DPMS product manager. “We’ve had great support from our industry friends, retail partners, and companies like Luminox and Peavey Electronics, who are outside the shooting industry but recognize that Outbreak: Omega is the world’s premier zombie shoot.”
Last year’s crowd was estimated at 1,000 participants and attendees. This year, early registrations are up and the expectations are higher for this family-friendly event.
“The VIZ (Very Important Zombie-Slayer) registrations are up more than 30% than last year,” Ballard said. “We’ve built our fan base and had great interest at the NRA show last month. We’ve been killing zombies since before it was cool and we’re looking forward to setting a new bar for these types of events.”
