Sig Sauer Raises Over $40,000 for the Honored American Veterans Afield Organization at Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Sig Sauer, Inc. is pleased to announce it raised over $40,000 for the Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA) organization at the 2018 SIG SAUER Charity Golf Tournament held Friday, August 3rd at Pease Golf Course in Newington, New Hampshire. In 2018 this annual event had a record-breaking year and expanded to 152 players that contributed to a 150% increase in fundraising over the previous year.

“The HAVA organization, and its relentless dedication to its mission, is making a real difference in the lives of Americas Heroes. For all of us at SIG SAUER it is truly an honor to support this meaningful program, and have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the men and women that protect our freedoms,” said Tom Taylor Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Commercial Sales, SIG SAUER, Inc.

HAVA is a 501(c)3 organization founded in 2007 by a group of executives from the hunting and shooting industry to help disabled veterans and injured active-duty military returning from war heal, and reintegrate back into everyday life through participation in outdoor activities. HAVA sponsors guided hunts, shooting events, and outdoor activities across the country hosting hundreds of veterans annually.

SIG SAUER is a longstanding supporter of the HAVA organization. This donation is intended to sustain and expand HAVA’s programs to provide disabled veterans and wounded active military personnel transition to their lives back in the United States.
